     His birth was registered in the Dec 1893 quarter in the Plomesgate registration district.2 Spencer William Salter was the son of Frederick Salter and Fannie Garneys.1 Spencer William Salter died on 8 May 1917 in Calais, Pas De Calais, France, at age 23; during WW1.3 He was buried in a Commonwealth War Grave in Duisans British Cemetery, Etrun, Calais, Pas De Calais, France; III. K. 43.3
