     Alfred Ernest Woolnough was born between 3 Apr 1889 and 1 Apr 1891 in Great Glemham, Suffolk, England.2 His birth was registered in the Mar 1890 quarter in the Plomesgate registration district.3 He was the son of Harry Woolnough and Ellen Caroline Howard.1 Alfred Ernest Woolnough died on 18 Aug 1916 in Somme, France, at age 26; during WW1.1 He was buried in a Commonwealth War Grave in Serre Road Cemetery No. 2, Somme, France; XXXV. J. 3.1
